How to create invoices and financial reports from your expense tracker

27 August 2026 · 5 min read

Turn tracked income and expenses into professional invoices and PDF financial reports — earnings summaries, time logs and client billing — inside Rupaira.

Tracking is only half the job

Recording money is useful, but the value shows up when the same data becomes an invoice a client can pay and a report an accountant can read. Rupaira keeps both on top of the entries you already logged, so nothing is retyped.

Creating an invoice

Open Invoices, pick a client, and either add line items manually or use Generate from unbilled amounts to pull every expected payment that has not been billed yet. Add tax and a due date, then move the invoice from draft to sent to paid as reality catches up. The PDF carries your totals plus a Rupaira watermark and page numbers.

The three reports

The Reports page takes a date range and produces three exports.

  • Financial Earnings Summary — revenue, expenses, net profit, tax collected and outstanding
  • Project Time Logs — billed items grouped by client with quantity, rate and total
  • Client Billing Summary — billed, received and outstanding per client

Dates that match your day

Every date on an invoice or report is rendered in the timezone stored on your profile, detected automatically at signup and changeable in settings. A report run at 11pm does not slide into tomorrow.
